A wonderful opportunity to join a small and friendly finance team within a global insurance business, based in the City of London. The Accounts Payable Technician will perform a variety of tasks and manage the end-to-end process while utilising SUN and SalesLogix software.

While experience in Accounts Payable activity is essential comprehensive training, guidance and support will be provided and the opportunity for AAT study support is available, if desired.



Overview of Duties

* Monthly end duties - including but not limited to; reconciling multi-currency bank accounts and preparing for sign and updating currency rates
* Weekly and ad hoc bank reconciliations
* Posting various journals on SUN
* Ensuring all invoices are paid in a timely manner on a weekly basis - including supplier and commission payments across all brands
* Processing urgent payments daily and within a 48 hrs time scale
* Dealing with internal and external payment queries promptly and accurately
* Arranging Currency trade transfers as and when required
* Managing cash flow by ensuring accounts have sufficient funds before releasing payments whilst taking future payments into consideration
* Ad hoc reports/tasks when required such as daily download of receipt incoming and outgoing Company Credit card reconciliations



Requirements

* Our client is open to the level of experience but requires a minimum of 2 years exposure to accounts payable activity.
* Experience managing bank reconciliation and posting journals
* Experience with multi-currency accounts GBP, USD and EUR - is preferred
* Experience using SUN and/or SalesLogix - is preferred.
* Adaptable and able to multi-task
* Adept at prioritising workload and meeting deadlines
* Approachable and team orientated



What you need to know:

* Permanent role
* Flexible Working - initially 3 days in the City Office and 2 days remote, but this can become 2 days office and 3 remote after the probation period.
* Salary between £38,000 and £45,000 = excellent benefits package
