Our client who are an employer of choice in the Dartford area are currently recruiting for a Permanent Senior Buyer.

As the Senior Buyer your objective is to build resilient and cost-effective supply chain solutions to enable the business to reach best in class service levels.

Your areas of responsibility will include:

* Identifying cost saving initiatives for products and services for the company
* Supporting the procurement department to achieve best in class service value
* To foster and support the group factories development to reach their best level of performance
* Assess value proposition and effective landed costs for products manufacturing
* Support the process of finding new partners for product manufacturing contracts
* Ability to identify, assess and develop factories to achieve the best manufacturing performance
* Support tendering processes and prepare associated data analysis to recommend best product or service offering for the business
* Ability to speak eastern European language (Romanian, Polish or Hungarian) would be an advantage
* Support cost modelling work for key product lines
* Manage supplier price lists and take part of the pricing negotiations

For this role you will have a degree in Product Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering and ideally, proven experience of working in product development of manufacturing process development. You will need to have good manufacturing knowledge with the ability to assess factories performance and skills. This is a key role within the business so the ability to work autonomously and independently is crucial, as is having good negotiation skills with the ability to analyse data and make relevant recommendations.

Your working hours will be Monday to Friday 8.30am - 5.30pm.
