Our client is an established and well respected warehousing company, and they are currently looking for a Stock Control Assistant to join their team in Barking, Essex. You will be required to work both in the office and in the warehouse. Hours are 6am - 3pm (40 hours).
As a Stock Control Assistant, you will be computer literate and be able to go into the warehouse to carry out stock checks, so experience in a similar role in essential. You will also need to be able to tolerate heights as the warehouse is made up of 10 metre high bay racking.
The successful Stock Control Assistant will be offered an hourly rate of 9.50- 10 per hour, depending on experience.
Other duties of the Stock Control Assistant may include:
Ensuring that emails are answered and passed onto the relevant person.Answering phone calls.Raising manual delivery documentation.Processing losses in stores.Entering records into the claims register.Liaising with other departments to ensure a resolution is provided to the client.
Good working knowledge of Excel.Previous stock control experience.Excellent communications skills.Experience managing a busy mailbox (Outlook).Good telephone manner.
